This Masquerade

After "Good Intentions" was accepted for release on Sea Breeze Jazz Danny Beher mentioned that he thought the album might be a little short on time. He asked if there was something else we could add to the final release. I had done an arrangement of "This Masquerade" for four trombones and rhythm a few years prior so we dusted it off and went back into the studio to augment the master disks for "Good Intentions". The main melody and horn solo are done by me on euphonium (my first instrument -- trombone is technically a double). Kevin Domino is responsible for the updated rhythm makeover from the original arrangement. My wife, Cherie, added some synth parts, Joe Cruz provide the great guitar solo, and Dave Martin did the great bass work. As a side note, both Kevin and I were sicker than dogs when we recorded this. You're listening to pure instinct!
